Acting Games for Kids

Here are a collection of some Acting Games that I have collected and used over the years. These games are geared to use for young actors ages 5-8, and 9-12. I have found that formal auditions for children can be very intimidating and take far too long. I prefer to observe the children doing activities in acting games and perhaps learning a song together. I can usually tell all I need for casting from this, especially when I am producing a Summer Theater Camp in 10 days. Only rarely will I need to do actual solo auditions. Some of these games work best in large groups, some in small, and some I only use for teaching acting skills in classes.
