"Raided! Pillaged!" from Momotaro

The story of Momotaro starts off with a terrible plague faced by the inhabitants of the Japanese countryside.  Their stores of food and weapons are stolen and their fields are trampled and ruined by the Oni monsters.  In this song, the farmers wake up the townspeople to tell them of the bad news.  They wonder what can be done.  The Old Woman prays for a son whom she and her husband can raise to become the hero to their village.
