SYNOPSIS
A Novice Storyteller goes to the Master Storyteller to ask him to help her hone her craft. He gives her suggestions as together they tell the "Story of the Speaking Bird" and even act out some of the parts themselves. There is a Sultan and his Weeping Queen, the Lost Princes and Princess, a kind Gardener, the Queen's wicked Sisters, dancing Court Attendants and Servants, traveling Musicians and Entertainers, Soldiers, and the Three Wonderful (Magical) Things. This is a story within a story of how the Novice and Master storytellers weave a tale of comedy, tragedy, parody, melody --- all on an Arabian Night.
