Who Will Be My Friend?

For Christmas 2017, I dutifully created another storybook for my family.  The story is about our third daughter Katelyn, who always needed a friend.  At first, she only liked Mom.  After awhile, she would play with her older siblings.  But when they left for school, Katelyn was very sad.  "Who will be my friend NOW?" Here are a few pages from this book.

The main part of the story is about how we in the family tried to help allay Katelyn's fears about growing up and needing to make friends on her own. She was worried especially about going to Kindergarten at the big school.  Even though we worked to prepare Katelyn to do all the things she would be exposed to in Kindergarten, on the first day she was so nervous and frightened that she almost didn't go into the Kindergarten room.  Thank goodness for the cute little pair of twins that befriended her!

I have been learning about how to clean up my drawings and paintings using a Wacom tablet and Photoshop.  What powerful programs!  But hard to learn as a novice artist.  I have to admit, though, that I am obsessed with learning these tools!
